LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Cheryl Burke may have one of the sexy contestants ever as her partner on “Dancing with the Stars,” but she insists there’s no romance between herself and Latin sensation William Levy.
“This is business. This is business, Billy, you can’t mix it,” Cheryl told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Monday’s Access Hollywood Live, when they asked if she’d be open to it if the romance train came calling. “It never works.”
Cheryl said romance “sometimes” happens between the pros and their celebs on “DWTS,” “but this season, I’m strictly business,” she added.
With William’s looks hard to ignore, the ballroom pro said some of her co-workers have been a little envious.
“Kym Johnson — she’s like, ‘God! You get the good looking guys,’” Cheryl said, before noting she doesn’t always get the model-perfect partners. “I’ve also had like Tom DeLay… Wayne Newton. I’ve had my share.”
While the Latino actor and former model is well known in Spanish-speaking countries, Cheryl admitted she had to look him up when she found out who she’d be dancing with.
“I did,” she replied when Billy and Kit asked if she looked William up on Google. “But that’s normal for me. I didn’t know who Emmitt Smith was. I had to run to Google. So this is a normal thing every season.”
As for what she found when she searched “William Levy”?
“I found lots of interesting pictures. Very nice pictures, mostly of his body area,” she laughed.
“He’s gonna be – definitely easy on the eyes,” she noted.
“Dancing with the Stars” returns for Season 14 on Monday night at 8/7c on ABC.
